Best Tea Unboxing Ever! Tao of Tea

Nothing like the much anticipated package you've ordered online finally arriving and the feeling when it over exceeds your expectations.

My red earth tea filter cup that I ordered from Tao of Tea came wrapped inside a beautiful black keepsake gift box with ribbon closure. Made by potters in India, it included a removable tea infuser and lid. My two bags of loose leaf herbal tea were even packaged well and dainty in their mini paper sack bags. Winning!

So, I tried the hibiscus ginger loose leaf tea. Hibiscus is always a win to me. The sweet, but subtle bitter taste is the perfect combination that I love in a herbal tea. A rare treat. Totally delicious. Almost too, good! The chamomile lavender tea is perfect as a bedtime tea since both chamomile and lavender are herbs known to be excellent for sleep and relaxation. I'll eventually give that one a try.

I added a teaspoon of the tea leaves to the strainer cup and poured warm water over the tea. I prefer to add the water over the tea as this seems to really help bring out the flavor in herbal teas.

I allowed it to steep {infuse} for about 5 minutes with the lid on of course.

After steeping, I removed the lid and infuser. The lid is also very convenient to hold the infuser cup as well as a tea bag if not using loose leaf tea.

Wow, no need for any extra little tea accessories, like a tea ball or tea bag saucer. I'm definitely going to need more of these cups in my life sure. Maybe a cup with a handle and a different color next order.

Final results... a delicious cup of hibiscus tea in a beautiful, unique, well made tea cup!

Hibiscus tea is my absolute favorite herbal tea, so whatever tea is blended with it I usually end up enjoying, too. Love the flavor of the hibiscus petals. Has a bitter cranberry juice flavor to it just to give you an idea of what to expect in taste. I usually add some agave to sweeten and it instantly becomes a tasty floral but fruity drink. I prefer it as a hot tea but it's just as tasty as an iced tea.

The red earth tea filter cup is a must have, especially if you are a tea lover. Must see to fully appreciate! If you have never tried hibiscus tea I totally recommend you give it a try as well. You will thank me later! 💁🏽

By the way.... both teas are Dr. Sebi Approved. The ingredients are: hibiscus, chamomile and lavender. All alkaline herbs!
